Solar PV System Design
Messiah’s Solar PV team must redesign ROP’s electrical system to integrate solar energy to power their most important loads during outages and sell any extra electricity to the grid.
ROP's new electrical system will consist of four key components.
1. Solar PV System
The 10KW system will be installed by a local dealer before our arrival.

2. Hybrid inverter
The inverter is the centerpiece that distributes the solar energy and converts between DC and AC.

3. Grid Connection
Having a system tied to India's grid allows ROP to draw electricity from grid when solar is insufficient and sell extra solar generated electricity back to the grid.

4. Batteries
A battery backup system stores excess solar generated energy for when sunlight and grid are unavailable.
